Professional applications aiming to lighten tooth color in a controlled manner.

What is Teeth Whitening?

Teeth whitening (bleaching) is the general name for professional dentistry procedures used to lighten the color of teeth. Depending on the cause and degree of tooth discoloration, office type (done in the clinic), home type (done at home with plaque) or combined protocol options consisting of a combination of the two can be evaluated.

Before starting the whitening treatment at Clinic Marmara, the intraoral condition, existing restorations and the cause of the color change are evaluated.

Office Type (Laser) Whitening

In this method, which is applied in a clinical environment, a highly concentrated whitening gel is applied to the teeth and LED light or laser is used to activate it. A significant color lightening can be achieved in a single session. Processing time is approximately 1-1.5 hours.

Home Type (Plaque) Whitening

Silicone plates, specially prepared for the patient's mouth, are applied to the patient's mouth for several hours a day or overnight, along with whitening gel at certain concentrations. It takes several weeks of regular use to see results.

Combined Protocol

After an office-type session, the use of home-type plaque is tried to increase the permanence and depth of the color lightening. It can be evaluated especially in cases with advanced discoloration.

Can Whitening Be Applied to Every Teeth?

The whitening process is only effective on natural tooth tissue. The color of fillings, laminates, zirconium crowns or implant crowns cannot be changed by whitening. If you have existing restorations, an evaluation should be made before treatment.

Who is it suitable for?

  • Adults with complaints of tooth discoloration and in good general oral health
  • Those looking for aesthetic improvement after professional cleaning
  • Those who want to improve their smile before the special event
