Dr. Esra Erkan was born in Kadıköy, Istanbul. After graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry, she completed her orthodontics doctoral training in 2022, which she started in 2017.

She has participated in numerous scientific meetings, courses, and congresses in the field of orthodontics, and is an active member of the Turkish Orthodontic Society, the Turkish Aligner Society, and the European Orthodontic Society.

Her special areas of interest are functional jaw orthopedics, skeletal anchorage (mini-screw) applications, and orthodontic treatment with clear aligners (wireless).
